Kudos for Colleagues Shana Ware, a survivor resource specialist with the Office of Respect, has been elected secretary of the University Senate and member of the body’s executive committee. The University Senate – which is comprised of Emory faculty, staff, and students – reviews a range of university matters, including new policies, and makes recommendations to the president.
Emory Athletics: Senior Spotlight Jack Rubenstein is a men’s baseball player majoring in strategic management and consulting with a secondary focus in real estate. He hopes to continue playing baseball at Division I level while pursuing a master’s degree. Bethany Seagraves is a member of the women’s swimming and diving team and a nursing major. She enjoys binge-watching Grey's Anatomy, The Office, and Eater, as well as competing with her roommates on Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.
Emory Athletics: Where are they now? David Hissey was a four-year member (2006-09) of the Emory baseball team, starting 166 of the 172 games he played in. He hit .300 or higher each of his four seasons and finished with a career mark of .366 at the plate. David became the fifth player in program history to be drafted when the Philadelphia Phillies selected him in 2009.
