October 6, 2021 Barkley Forum debaters bring home honors again Last week, Emory competed at the 50th ‘Run for the Roses’ debate tournament hosted by the University of Kentucky. Of more than 100 teams competing annually in college policy debate nationwide, only the top seven partnerships are invited to this round robin tournament. Selection is based on a team's performance in the prior season. Emory junior Eu Giampetruzzi (on right in photo above) and sophomore Grace Kessler, both Woodruff Scholars, were invited to debate the other top teams. Eu and Grace placed third in the competition, defeating teams from Harvard, Northwestern, and University of Southern California.
