Visitor Policy: A Message from ELT for Campus Life Staff
As you may have seen, the updated Visitor’s Policy was posted to the Emory Forward website last week. Visitors fall into four categories: Academic and Related; Human Subjects Research Related; Vendors, Service Providers, Suppliers; and General Public. If a visitor falls outside of these four categories, they are not permitted on campus. This includes families and friends of residential students who do not live on campus and/or have not been onboarded.
All essential visitors to campus must have a formal university sponsor, submit an application, and be approved by the appropriate unit prior to coming to campus. The designated approver in Campus Life is Scott Rausch, Senior Director of Residence, Sorority, and Fraternity Life.
Currently, the list of approved essential visitors is limited to: 1. dependents, partners, and/or spouses of faculty and staff who live in on-campus housing. 2. guests of academic departments residing on Clairmont Campus in guest housing.
Please review the policy as necessary. Questions may be directed to Scott Rausch at scott.rausch@emory.edu.
As always, thank you for your extraordinary hard work and support of our students. |
