ECL highlights

Office of Health Promotion (OHP), effective June 1, will be directed by Michael Shutt, senior director for the Community Portfolio, who began his career in health promotion at the University of Georgia. Campus Life will launch an immediate search for an OHP director. The new director and Shutt will collaborate with their teams and other members of the Emory community to continue developing initiatives that help create and sustain a healthy campus environment for all students. Respect Program will transition to the Office of Student Success Programs and Services, under the leadership of OSSPS senior director Adrienne Slaughter, effective June 1. Together, Respect and OSSPS will continue to build knowledge regarding our collective responsibility to address inequity in the student experience across the entire campus. Above, on the right, a crew is completing a section of a concrete slab on grade. On the left, the gray steel framing members are the structural supports for the exterior grand staircase located between the north and south pavilions.

University Campus Life Center Concrete Pour North Pavilion Inside
Above, the yellow material on the south pavilion exterior is a waterproofing membrane applied to the concrete block. The pink near the window is an exterior-applied insulation, while gray is the first coat of the multipart finish system. The white panel at the top is the finish or final coat of the building envelope system.
