This team identifies opportunities for philanthropic support that enables alumni, parents, and friends to enhance student life at Emory. Funding priorities include:

  Support builds the student travel fund and bolsters volunteer opportunities related to this nationally recognized, award-winning debate team and community-service organization.

  Annual contributions allow the vice president and dean to invest in strategic priorities that enhance the student experience throughout the year.

The Barkley Forum for Debate, Deliberation, and Dialogue strives to embody every aspect of Emory's vision statement. Programmatic decisions are driven by a desire to assist in making Emory a "destination university internationally recognized as an inquiry-driven, ethically engaged, and diverse community, whose members work collaboratively for positive transformation in the world through courageous leadership."  Competitive debate, community outreach , and  campus engagement  activities all support the holistic development of students, helping them to become leaders who change the world for the better.

CCE promotes, coordinates and supports civic and community engagement efforts of the Emory community through learning, service and engaged scholarship to the campus, metro Atlanta and beyond. The CCE partners with students, staff and, faculty committed to doing meaningful service in the community. Currently, the CCE facilitates over 150 partnerships with numerous nonprofits, governmental agencies and community groups to address a range of important social issues.

This office manages ECL's website, social media, video, photo, graphic design, editorial services, and executive messaging to ensure accurate and consistent articulation of the organization’s mission, vision, and goals.

Communications Philosophy

To produce concise, relevant, timely, and compelling information grounded in a comprehensive content strategy that is nimble and adaptable in serving audience needs. The office creates value through mission-driven information, news, narratives, and integrated campaigns that make a positive difference in the lives of Emory students, faculty, staff, and other members of the university community.

Campus Life Compliance supports ECL units by providing guidance concerning regulatory, policy and ethical matters.

The Compliance office is responsible for:

• providing guidance in revising, creating, and fulfilling policies with university-wide applicability that are administered by Campus Life;
• guiding CL teams through the university risk management process;
• being a thought-partner in the creation of new ECL processes and guidelines;
• providing guidance as it concerns fulfilling obligations under federal and state regulations;
• guiding staff in navigating ethical considerations

Conference Services is a full-service summer conference operation catering to people of all ages, backgrounds, and interests (both Emory and non-Emory affiliated). No matter the size or scope of your organization, Conference Services staff are dedicated to delivering the best conference experience.

Counseling and Psychological Services provides free, confidential counseling for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. Consultation, outreach, and educational workshops are provided for faculty, staff, and students.

Responsible for the operations of on-campus food locations as well as Emory Catering. The department is committed to delivering an innovative dining experience with a focus on health, nutrition, and sustainability.

EmoryCard is the official identification card and key to the Emory Experience providing secure, convenient and efficient access to events, goods and services.

The Finance Service Center, with its human resources component, supports the financial and human resources needs of all departments in Emory Campus Life.

The Center for Student Wellbeing contributes to students' success in and out of the classroom by providing resources, healthy skill-building consultations, group education interventions and training, campus initiatives, and mentoring for future public health professionals.

Responsible for the administration of residential facilities, the Housing Office builds community and supports students in all aspects of their college lives.

The Office of Respect is a 24-hour support resource that helps Emory students impacted by interpersonal violence. We have advocates available to offer support and help you learn more about your options and rights; assist with safety planning; provide legal and medical accompaniment; and/or offer academic assistance.  We also aim to reduce the incidents of sexual assault and interpersonal violence through preventative work, bystander trainings, and support of peer networks. 

This office collaborates with Emory Campus Life units and university colleagues to engage alumni and families in the life of the university.

The Department of Recreation oversees Emory club and intramural sports, as well as Play Emory, which provides a myriad of facilities and programs that promote sustainable fitness and wellness principles.

Responsible for the administration of all residential facilities, the Office of Residence Life builds community and supports students in all aspects of their college lives.

The Office of Sorority and Fraternity Life (OSFL) supports positive living and learning communities that are strengthened through the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood.

Student Center Operations and Events staff support programming and building operations for the Emory Student Center, which serves as the campus' main student union, and provide meeting services.

The Office of Student Conduct reviews and resolves alleged misconduct by undergraduates in a way that balances the developmental needs of the student, the community’s needs as a whole, and the university’s responsibility to treat all students with dignity and fairness.

Student Health Services provides outpatient care for Emory students and other qualifying dependents. Rather than drawing distinctions between mental and physical wellbeing, we encourage a holistic approach to building healthier minds, bodies, and spirits.
