CBSC fellows prepare for a summer of community building in area communities
In April, 11 undergraduate students in the 2024 Community Building and Social Change (CBSC) Fellows Program stood before an audience of university community members in the Emory Student Center. They introduced their plans for a full summer filled with community building in partnership with Atlanta area communities. Having completed two academic courses and other training, the fellows are now prepared to implement their plans in close collaboration with their respective communities. The plans will be the focus of the fellow’s intensive, paid, 10-week summer field practicum, which includes site visits, small group meetings, and public presentations. Fellows will have opportunities to see firsthand the critical role that partnering with impacted communities plays in the resolution of important public issues. Follow the CBSC fellows in their partnerships with community organizations on Instagram @emorycbscfellows. Review CBSC fellows’ bios. Learn more about CBSC fellows’ projects.
