Staff Fest 2024 rescheduled for Friday, June 14, on the Quad
We are excited to announce the 46th annual Staff Fest celebration will be held on Friday, June 14, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., with all activities as originally planned, including free lunch catered by La Parrilla Mexican Restaurant, live music, a fun run/walk, volleyball competition, games and more.
Lunch starts at 11:30 a.m. (Full menu is posted on website). Live music with Atlanta's own Band X, playing all the hits from the 70's, 80's, 90's and current faves (not just rock, but pop, disco, and more!) You are encouraged to bring your own lawn chairs or blankets to sit on the quad and enjoy the music. Dancing is also encouraged!

Cox Hall Identity Spaces win ACUI 2024 Facility Design Award for project under $25M category
"Emory University’s Identity Spaces project revitalized and reimagined the affinity group spaces, establishing welcoming and inclusive environments reflective of the unique groups’ cultures. The two-phase process significantly upgraded Emory’s Belonging and Community Justice (BCJ) spaces to create a more just and equitable campus where all students thrive. The $9.8 million project renovating 18,500 square feet was completed in September 2023," according to the website of the Association of College Unions International.
"The ACUI Facility Design Awards were created to encourage and recognize excellence in the design of student-centered facilities that support campus community building and student learning."

TRHT Racial Healing Circle new facilitator training dates for July, August
Join your colleagues for an interactive training experience and acquire the skills and mindset to facilitate racial healing circles, navigate difficult dialogues, and engage in courageous conversations about centering humanity to foster collective change. Whether you're a seasoned practitioner looking to deepen your facilitation skillset or a newcomer eager to make a difference, this training session offers a supportive and empowering space to learn, grow, and transform. Objectives:
- Introduce participants to transformative power of racial healing circles.
- Introduce strategies for building community, fostering collaboration, and mobilizing collective action in co-creating human-centered spaces.
- Discuss and evaluate importance of emotionally intelligent facilitation in creating a supportive environment where participants feel heard, valued, and respected.
- Prioritize importance of wellbeing, self-care and personal growth as a facilitator.

Women’s Golf Finishes Second at 2024 NCAA Championships
The Emory University women's golf program turned in a second place finish at the NCAA Championships finishing on Friday afternoon in Nicholasville, Kentucky. The Eagles finished with a team score of 1201 while shooting 308 on Friday afternoon in round four. Fellow UAA opponent Carnegie Mellon took the top spot with a team score of 1187 while Pomona-Pitzer took bronze with a team score of 1203.
