Countdown to Staff Fest 2024: New RSVP needed
- Friday, June 14, 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m., on the Quad
- Free lunch catered by La Parrilla Mexican Restaurant. Serving begins at 11:30 a.m. Full menu posted on the website.
- Live music with Atlanta's own Band X, playing hits from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and current faves – not just rock, but pop, disco, and more!)
- Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets, sit on the quad, and enjoy the music. Dancing encouraged!
- Plus: Volleyball competition, fun run/fun walk, chalk the walk, games, and much more!

Shirts are for sale at the the Blomeyer Health Fitness Center at 1525 Clifton Rd., NE, (Emory Clinic), 5th floor, Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Shirts are $10 each; bring cash or check payable to Emory University. No credit cards accepted.

EVI calls for volunteers for runoff elections in June
The Emory Votes Initiative (EVI) invites volunteers for the DeKalb County polling site on Emory’s Atlanta campus for Georgia's 2024 elections. Early voting for the runoff elections is scheduled for June 10-18. Volunteers for the runoff elections can sign up here. EVI will follow up later with additional information on election volunteer opportunities for 2024.

Finance Center update for budget directors: Planning for FY25 and FY26
The Campus Life Finance Center is finalizing Budget Planning for fiscal years 2025 and 2026. Please review the Summer Budget Guidelines file and key dates to support your participation in the process. All requests should be strategically aligned to the One Emory: Ambition and Heart strategic framework and the Campus Life Strategic Priorities. You are encouraged to work closely with your finance liaison, managers, and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) member.
The Finance Center hosts weekly, one-hour drop-in sessions for budget owners to answer questions, every Tuesday, June 4-25, from 10 to 11 a.m. Use this Zoom link to join any session. The Finance Center looks forward to helping you align resources to make a tremendous impact on the Emory experience for all our students.

Emory University launches review of April 25 events
Emory University has engaged attorney Richard H. Deane Jr. to conduct a thorough review of the events of April 25. The review will focus on the decisions Emory University leadership made on April 25, which included electing to remove the encampment set up by protestors and engaging external law enforcement. The review will not examine external law enforcement’s use of force, which is governed by those agencies’ internal review procedures.

Join free online session about Emory's new AI chat companion
Microsoft Copilot is a new AI tool launched by the university's Office of Information Technology (OIT), and it's available at no-cost to all members of the Emory community. Join the online event, Ask the Experts: Microsoft Copilot Town Hall, on Tuesday, June 11, at 10:30 a.m. to learn more about how to use Microsoft Copilot and its capabilities. This generative AI chat companion is designed to enhance productivity, creativity and communication. The platform leverages ChatGPT4 technology in a protected environment that is Emory data-friendly and secure.

Campus may be quieter thanks to the arrival of summer, but there are still plenty of fun events and activities to get involved in, from the rocking Staff Fest on June 14 to a peaceful walk along the still waters of Lullwater Preserve.
