Campus Life Day in words and photos
On Oct. 14,
Emory Athletics collaborated with
Advancement and Alumni Engagement and the
Student Programming Council to produce the first Campus Life Day, part of the university’s inaugural
Champions Tailgate. The free campus-wide event brought together more than 1,100 members of the Emory community to celebrate the university's extraordinary student-athletes. Fans cheered their Emory Eagles – volleyball, men’s soccer, and women’s soccer teams – to victories over opponents in all three competitions at the Woodruff PE Center. Participants enjoyed C-Bo’s Southern Cuisine and Barbecue, drank Coca-Cola beverages, and received free gifts. According to Corbin Bryant, director of events and marketing for Emory Athletics, the next Champions Tailgate will be in January, with details soon to be announced. If your organization is interested in partnering for the next celebration, email
corbin.s.bryant@emory.edu.

Join the Emory Votes Initiative (EVI), Emory NAACP, Emory Fair Fight, and APIDAA this Friday, Oct. 28, at 2 p.m. for the
Vote Early Day: Party to the Polls
celebration at Asbury Circle. EVI will host a nonpartisan Get Out the Vote (GOTV) rally before marching together to the DeKalb County polling site on Emory’s campus. The event will include live music, voting swag, giveaways, and food. All students, staff, and faculty are invited.
EVI is available to help the entire Emory community—staff, faculty, and students—with questions about voting. The organization can also help people find an early-voting location, vote by mail, preview their ballot, and understand voting rules. Emory strongly encourages all employees to exercise their right to vote. The university's
Voting Policy allows up to four hours of paid time for voting. Visit the
EVI webpage to learn more or email
mgpak@emory.edu or
