Emory University Athletics Director Keiko Price has been selected as one of eight inductees into the UCLA Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2021. The announcement was made today by UCLA.
A four-year (1997-98 through 2000-2001) member of the Women’s Swimming and Diving Program, Price was a 22-time All-American while breaking numerous records throughout her distinguished career. During her rookie campaign, she earned a team-best 26 first-place finishes and was awarded the team's Most Outstanding Newcomer/Freshman. The following three years, she earned the team's Most Valuable Swimmer award and won the 1999 Pac-10 championship in the 100 Free. Price once held five different Bruin records, and her best mark of 48.59 in the 100 free still ranks No. 3 all-time at UCLA. A member of the U.S. National Team, she qualified to three Olympic Trials.
Price shined in the classroom as well, earning an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship and drawing three nods to the Pac-10 All-Academic Team.
“Words cannot express how grateful I am to be a part of UCLA’s rich history of athletic success,” Price said. “I am humbled to be selected amongst a great pool of former athletes, and want to extend a sincere thank you the UCLA Hall of Fame selection committee for giving me this honor.”
Joining Price in the 2021 UCLA Hall of Fame Class are Trevor Bauer (baseball), Jeanette Bolden (track and field athlete & coach); Tiffany Joh (women’s golf), Megan Langenfeld (softball) Marcedes Lewis (football), Tracy Murray (men’s basketball) and Kate Richardson (gymnastics).
