Emory Healthcare Veterans Program
EHVP treats conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), military sexual trauma (MST), anxiety, and depression related to military service. Treatment is free and confidential for eligible post-9/11 veterans and service members living anywhere in the United States regardless of discharge status, deployment history, or length of service. Veterans Affairs Nursing Academic Partnership for Graduate Education
The VA Nursing Academic Partnership focuses on engaging and preparing nursing practitioners in specialized holistic and integrated care for the veteran population. This partnership is between Emory University's Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing and the Atlanta VA Medical Center (VAMC). Learn more.

Veterans Affairs Nursing Academic Partnership Scholars
Emory is one of 18 nursing schools nationwide selected for the elite Veterans Affairs Nursing Academic Partnership (VANAP) program through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The VANAP program is designed to enhance the traditional BSN curriculum offering a small cohort of students, VANAP Scholars, training specifically focused on Veteran-centered care. VANAP Scholars participate in adult clinical rotations at the Atlanta VA Healthcare System (AVAHCS), a magnet designated hospital, to gain further clinical competencies in caring for our Veteran heroes. Emory Law Volunteer Clinic for Veterans
The Emory Law Volunteer Clinic for Veterans (Emory VCV) assists low-income military veterans and military spouses with discharge upgrades, disability benefits claims, powers of attorney, wills, and advance directives for healthcare. Emory VCV serves its clients with the assistance of local attorneys and supervised law student volunteers who are well-versed in veteran's law. Learn more.
Don Cornwell
Don Cornwell, director of career services, leads the Emory Campus Life Veterans Committee. In this capacity, he serves as a resource for veteran students, coordinates with other Emory staff supporting veterans, and collaborates across campus to celebrate and highlight the contributions of veterans within our community and beyond.
Mr. Cornwell is a veteran of the United States Army, where he served with the Headquarters Battery, 1/43 Patriot Missile Battalion as a Multichannel Communications Operator (31M) at Fort Bliss, TX. He also held a Temporary Duty assignment at White Sands Missile Range, NM. During his tenure in service, Don’s individual accolades include Primary Leadership Course graduate, Good Conduct Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and rank of Specialist 4th Class prior to being Honorably Discharged.
