April 15, 2020
The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically impacted the way we have all been working, interacting, socializing, thinking, worrying, and spending our time. We are participating in a collective grieving as a society. However, for many in our community, the effect has extended beyond disruptions in daily living to include feelings of grief and loss related to the death of family, friends, or acquaintances. Sadly, the death toll of this pandemic has reached our university community.
Denim Day: Wednesday, April 22
You are invited to participate in a virtual Denim Day on Wednesday, April 22, by wearing jeans or any denim clothing to express solidarity with all survivors of sexual assault. Similar to past Emory Denim Days, everyone is encouraged to take photos of themselves and others wearing denim and send the photos to the Office of Respect at: respect@emory.edu or tag the Office of Respect on social media through: Facebook; Twitter @RespectWell; or Instagram @office_of_respect.
Campus Life CLASS Awards
Midnight on Thursday, April 23, is the final extended deadline for submitting nominations for the CLASS Awards (Campus Life Awards for Superlative Service). Don’t let the challenging times deprive a deserving colleague of well-earned recognition. There is a range of award categories for Campus Life staff and one for a member of the Emory community beyond Campus Life who has made significant contributions to our division.
