Students present Brit Katz Senior Appreciation Award to Dean Gelaye
Honored for his devotion to students and serving as role model, leader, and friend, then-Director of Residence Life R. Britton Katz was recognized at Emory’s Class Day, first celebrated in 2003. The Brit Katz Award, a wooden bowl, is presented to an administrator or staff member selected by seniors for serving as role model and friend to the senior class and participating in the Emory community beyond professional duty. The award is sponsored by the Ducemus Senior Society. Dean Gelaye was informed of her selection in April by students pictured above.
