Barkley Forum debaters ring in new year with pair of tournament wins
In January, Emory’s
Barkley Forum sent five partnerships of two students each to compete at the Kathryn Classic, hosted by California State University, Long Beach. Four of the five won the first elimination round to compete in the Sweet Sixteen (octafinals). Seniors Grace Kessler and Shreyas Rajagopal went on to take top honors, recording their second consecutive tournament win.
Also in January, Barkley debaters attended the Crowe Warken Debates, hosted by the United States Naval Academy. Again, four partnerships cleared the elimination rounds, with junior Don Pierce and senior Kris Wallen winning that tournament.
