The 2023 Campus Life Awards for Superlative Service (CLASS Awards) honored 37 Campus Life staff members for their years of service. Service Awards are presented to employees for every five years of service, e.g., 5, 10, 15, etc. The event included presentation of 10 CLASS Awards and recognition of three team members who were among only 14 employees university-wide to receive this year's Award of Distinction, Emory's highest honor accorded staff. - Click here or on the image above to review the PDF of the event slide show with the names of awardees. Simone Thompson to fill in during Kathryn Dionne's leave
Kathryn Dionne, executive administrative assistant to Dean of Campus Life Enku Gelaye, is on maternity leave and expects to return in early fall. During the interim, Simone Thompson (pictured) will provide support for the dean. Most recently, Thompson served as an administrative assistant in Emory's Office of the Vice President and Secretary. She was also an HR specialist with Emory Healthcare and an executive assistant with Seton Hall University. Thompson holds a master's in strategic communications from Seton Hall and certification as a professional scrum manager.
