Tenille Gaines joins Emory Campus Life as executive director of CAPS
Emory University has chosen Tenille R. Gaines, PhD, as executive director of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), effective October 2. Bringing a decade of counseling experience in higher education, Gaines will report to Campus Life’s James D. Raper, PhD, associate vice president for health, well-being, access, and prevention.
Under Gaines’ leadership, Raper explains, CAPS will continue to evolve its clinical

service delivery methods to remain innovative and flexible – a critical component of excellence in university counseling service. She will utilize quantitative and qualitative data to establish and implement strategic goals for CAPS, while remaining deeply engaged in the university community to ensure positive impact. As a member of Campus Life’s health and well-being leadership team, Gaines will serve as an integral advisor for university responses to crises.

Campus Life Kickoff Breakfast: Wednesday, August 30
Don't forget! The Campus Life Fall Kickoff Breakfast is on Wednesday, August 30, from 9 - 11 a.m. in the ESC Multipurpose Room. There will be a short program, all-staff photo, and handing out our new Campus Life jackets.
In addition, our photographer will be back to take headshots for staff who missed or need to reschedule from the previous session.
Photography will take place on the 3rd floor
immediately after the Kickoff and end at 5:30 p.m.

CAPS’ Daboin Dominguez takes on greater responsibility
Agreeing to take on the temporary role of senior coordinator of outreach, Irene Daboin Dominguez (she/her) will continue to manage the responsibilities of her current role as suicide prevention coordinator, including her exceptional work overseeing the Emory Helpline. Daboin Dominguez, who joined Campus Life in September 2019 as a licensed psychologist, received the
2023 SOAR Advisor of the Year award as staff advisor for the Emory Helpline. She also served as project lead for CAPS’
suicide prevention video production. Daboin Dominguez holds a PhD in clinical and community psychology and is a member of the Association for University and College Counseling Center Outreach (AUCCCO). If you want to thank

CAPS’ Glenn earns promotion
Courtney Glenn (she/her), CAPS’ assistant director for clinical case management, has been promoted to associate director for clinical case management. The promotion recognizes Glenn’s consistently high-quality service to Emory students and the CAPS staff. It also reflects clinical case management’s increasing responsibilities and the ongoing importance of addressing the associated challenges. Glenn, who joined Campus Life as a clinical case manager in 2016, is described as the consummate team player, constantly looking for opportunities to serve. She is a licensed clinical social worker with more than 20 years of experience supporting students. Glenn holds a master’s in social work from the University of Georgia. Deadline to submit cash deposits, gifts, and claims for wires for processing in fiscal year 2022-23 to the Finance Service Center.

8/30/2023:
Deadline for viewing, approving, and reallocating P-card charges in Compass.

8/31/2023:
Deadline to submit travel and expense reports into Workflow. All expense reports in pending status will be deleted on 8/31/23 at noon.

9/01/2023:
First day to resume use of corporate card/P-card for new fiscal year.

9/11/2023:
Deadline for departments' final approval of check requests (Emory Express).

9/12/2023:
Deadline for departments to complete receiving invoices over $4,999 in Emory Express.

Fall 2023 faculty and staff parking permit fees
Emory’s new parking fees take effect September 1 and will be reflected in the October pay advice. In addition to the convenient and discounted annual plan, Transportation and Parking Services will continue to offer the daily “pay as you go” permit payment plan this fall. New Emory Safe app offers enhanced safety features for Emory community
At Emory, everyone is empowered to play a role in creating a safe and prepared community. The Emory READY campaign, launching this fall, is designed to help strengthen each person’s ability to be aware, prepared and ready when on campus. And being “Emory READY” is about to get easier with the new Emory Safe app, now available in the Apple and Google app stores. The existing Live Safe app will no longer work starting Aug. 31.

Emory softball head coach Adrianna Baggetta to join Penn State coaching staff
Emory University Softball Head Coach
Adrianna Baggetta has resigned from her current position and will be joining the Penn State University coaching staff.
Baggetta led the Eagles for the past five seasons after she was named head coach in summer 2018, going on to compile an overall record of 91-61. During that period, she saw 15 players collect 20 All-UAA honors, including five on the All-Association First Team.

Watson also led Housing's partnerships with Residence and Sorority and Fraternity Life to ensure seamless service to students, LGBT Life to expand accessibility of gender-inclusive housing, and the Department of Accessibility Services to better serve students with housing accommodations. Friday, September 1 is Rebecca's last day with Emory. You can wish her farewell at
