Authors of Sexual Citizens, Jennifer S. Hirsch and Shamus Khan, are the keynote speakers at RespectCon, two days of education and conversation about reducing sexual harm. Nominate a student for the 100 Senior Honorary Class of 2024
Each year, the Emory Alumni Board and the Student Alumni Board identify 100 emerging alumni leaders in the undergraduate senior class who are campus leaders, thought provokers, dynamic athletes, academic mentors, and community influencers. Their contributions are recognized through the 100 Senior Honorary.
- Nominations, due by October 18, may be submitted only by faculty, staff, alumni and fellow students. Self-nominations are not permitted.

After October 18, nominees will receive next steps via email. They will be asked to submit an application, personal student impact statement, resume, and a maximum of three references, including two that must be completed by Emory faculty or staff.
- The selection committee, composed of staff and administrators, will meet to make final selections.

The 100 Senior Honorary Class of 2024 will be announced in December, with the induction ceremony scheduled for February 6. More details to come. Submit nomination.

CAPS introduces new team members
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) recently hired several new professionals to further enhance the organization’s exceptional support for Emory students. New team members appeared in last week's issue of Campus Life Today; others will be introduced in later issues. All report to Tenille Reena Gaines, PhD, executive director of CAPS, a part of Emory Campus Life.

Gabrielle Woodard, PsyD (she/her/ hers), is CAPS’ new embedded psychologist in the School of Nursing. She provides individual, group and couples therapy, consults with faculty, staff and students, and presents workshops that center around wellness. Woodard’s previous positions include staff psychologist and assistant diversity director at Florida Atlantic University and working in private practice. She holds a PsyD in counseling psychology from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota, a

master's degree in marriage and family therapy from the University of Rochester, and bachelor’s in psychology and Spanish from the University of Alabama. Woodard, who enjoys boxing for fun, is a former Zumba instructor and a fan of the arts. As a newcomer to the Big Peach, she enjoys live music, restaurants, and Georgia’s great outdoors, especially when her energetic goldendoodle takes them both on nature walks. Shujing Zhang, PhD (she/her/hers), has joined the Campus Life team as CAPS' embedded psychologist in the Emory School of Medicine (SOM). Zhang’s responsibilities include providing individual and group therapy to SOM students, on-call support to students in crisis, and consultation to campus partners who support students. Zhang served previously as a psychology postdoctoral resident at SOM and at

Grady Hospital, where she provided evidence-based, culturally informed individual and group therapy to African American women who have experienced intimate partner violence and/or suicidality. A licensed psychologist in Georgia, Zhang holds a PhD in counseling psychology from the University of Georgia and a pair of master’s degrees in counseling from the University of Pennsylvania. Applications are invited for the Learning and Organizational Development Leadership Development programs listed below. All applications must be submitted directly to Campus Life Human Relations. The internal review team will make recommendations on which applicants to officially nominate. Applications sent directly to Emory HR will not be considered.
Applicants should be aware that participants must attend every session. Completed applications must be submitted directly to Campus Life HR at CLDE@emory.edu by Tuesday, October 31. Campus Life HR will forward approved applications to Emory HR. |
