Administrative Professionals Luncheon
. This annual event recognizes the work of administrative support staff, a committed team of professionals who are essential to maintaining the excellent service that Campus Life delivers daily to Emory students and the entire university community. The event was conceived by Ieisha Fuller, human resources associate, when she was an administrative assistant. Her goal was to create recognition, networking, and professional development opportunities for administrative professionals. The April 26 event offered great food, massages, and gifts for participants. The guest speaker, Nakia Melecio of NKM Consulting, spoke on "8 Ways to Communicate Your Ask."

Emory Administration AppreciationMore than 20 administrative professionals participated in the annual luncheon. Among them were: (Back row from left) Janelle Lopp, Nichelle Frye, Adrienne Dunson-Little, Scott Wile, Brenda Kinchen, and Marian Hudson; (front row from left) Patricia Taylor, Linda Crawford, and Angela Henderson.

Emory Dining. By facilitating students’ use of Dooley Meal Plan Dollars at the Emory Farmers Market these past three years, Emory Dining has effectively pumped nearly a quarter of a million dollars into local businesses, beginning with the market’s approximately 20 vendors. Check out the Farmers Market every Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., during the school year and periodically during the summer. Campus Life Center. During the week of April 30, significant progress was achieved, including an installation of glass panels, a continuation of work on the South Pavilion roof, a second concrete pour for the loading dock cap, and installation of steel reinforcing for the second-floor slab of the Commons in the North Pavilion. The week of May 7 will see two additional concrete pours, these for the floor of the Commons on the second level of the north pavilion. Work will continue on the South Pavilion roof, and glass panes will be set into the metal curtain wall frames as the process to “dry in” (enclose roof and exterior walls of) the building moves forward. Masons will continue placing concrete blocks on the plaza for the stairwell, fresh air intake shaft for the mechanical room, and along the west face of the first floor of the North Pavilion. Crews will not be working Saturday. For more information, including project updates and/or to subscribe to the CLC Newsletter, visit: http://www.campuslifecenter.com/
